"Went for lunch expecting another good experience as I have had in the past. When I was walking in the door I felt like I was "jumped" by the door girls, very aggressive. I told them I was meeting someone that was already seated. They seemed peeved that I wanted to look around and find my friend, like it was imposing on them. After finding my friend and sitting down the waitress came and just stood there waiting for me to order. Geez, I had just gotten there, I told her I was not ready to order my food, but would like a Coke. It never arrived until well after we placed our food order, maybe 10 minutes later. I was hot and sweaty from walking half a mile so the Coke would have been nice! We both ordered the Lunch promo combo special, and overall the food was good and a fair price. One was a grilled Terriyaki Pork dish, and 2 of the 6 pcs of pork were 100% FAT. The sashimi that came had no pickled ginger slices served with it and I was told they don't serve it that way at Sugi (unlike every japanese restaurant I have ever visitied elsewhere in the Philippines and USA!). To top the experience off, my friends lunch wasn't served until 15 minutes after mine! When we asked the waitress about it, she just looked confused and went to check, but never returned to answer our query. Finally another waitress brought my friends food. I doubt I will return for another lunch at Sugi."
